.........is fubared and not my actual internet connection. After a day and a lot of dropped connections, my modem decided no more and wouldn't initialise at all. Bugger I thought, it's happened before, ring up ISP time, wait in a queue for half an hour to be told to borrow another modem from somone and test to see if it's my modem and not the actual line. Then they would ring BT and get an engineer out to check my line. Last time
that happened I got a £55 call out charge which turned out to be an underground fault on the BT line outside me house, they had to dig up the street to find the fault. Anyways I kicked off and got the charge waived.
Soooo....I swiped (don't worry, I asked nicely first lol) a neighbours modem and I got online no problem and now I have to fork out for another one cos the ISP would only replace the old one if it was still under warrantry, which it's not grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I will have to get one today, gonna install my old one now to check whether it's decided to work again tho lol
