Hell's Guardian

Ok this started out as a quick render while waiting for a delivery ie my ram. It was just finishing it's final render when the ram did turn up, so had to wait for it to finish before I could install it.

I spent a couple of hours on postwork, uploaded it to here, and it looked shit, the red background looked bloody awful, all blurred looking and pixelated. I promptly deleted it.

I have just spent another hour and a bit (I missed Stargate SG1) trying to work out how to get the background to look better. I found a higher setting quality JPG seemed to do the trick, I hope it looks ok when it uploaded....

Any tips/advice on preventing blurry red tones would be appreciated..

I'm not uploading this to Renderosity, I tried but got the dreaded "form validation error" my effing thumbnail was too big filesize, just spent another half an hour trying to get that filesize reduced and still look good. I gave up on it......sod it.
